He includes a few stats which should act as a wake-up call to L&D professionals. The LinkedIn Workplace Learning report shows only 8% of CEOS see biz impact of L&D, only 4% see ROI. And the top ways L&D programs are evaluated are subjective or anecdotal. Whilst an earlier ATD report shows measurement according to the Kirkpatrick model dropped off drastically: 96% were doing level 1, but only 34% were doing level 2, and it went dramatically down from there. 

So if you are not measuring your contribution to bottom line business results, how do you know (and how does your organisation know, if what you are producing is of any value?
